Normally when I'm searching for an article for this segment of my blog, I search out quirky, funny, unusual news that makes you say "huh? what were they thinking?" and hopefully giggle a little about how silly humans can be.
This will not make you laugh at all. When I read this article it made me physically ill.
An 11 year old child (female) was gang raped in Cleveland, TX. 17 men have been arrested so far, with the potential of more arrests pending. I would normally add in the phrase "allegedly raped" but the sexual acts were caught on several cell phone videos. She was 11 years old. It is rape.
How can you possibly find anything more horrific than the actual physical actions of these men? It gets worse. "...local activist Quanell X blamed the girl and her family for what happened at a town hall meeting Thursday. 'It was not the young girl that yelled rape. Stop right there, something’s wrong brothers and sisters,' said Quanell X." A small group gathered together at a news conference Saturday to support the 11 year old and to protest the words and allegations of Quanell X and his followers. Quannell X questioned where the girl's parents were....supporters of the girl say they can ask the same question - where were the parents of these 17 men?
