My family takes all non-perishable empty items (boxes, plastic bags, bottles, glass, etc.) and places it on the table next to the trash can.
I go through it, break it down, separate it and take it outside to the proper bins. Once a month I load it all into the van, drive to the dump, take it out of the van, place it into the respective dumpsters, drive home and put the bins back out so we can start all over again.
My family calls this "helping me recycle"....I call this "helping me earn another stupid badge".
And STILL they wonder WHY I drink.....
