Hawaiian Punch was originally created to be an ice-cream topping! Created in 1934 by three men in a converted garage, it wasn't discovered as a tasty drink until customers tried mixing it with water. It was such a hit that the gentlemen formed the Pacific Hawaiian Products and began producing the beverage.
Many of you might know that the loveable Hawaiian Punch mascot is named Punchy, but did you know that his sidekick ultimate receiver of the 'punch' is named Opie? They were created in 1962 and remained a team until the late 1990's.
